Configure Facebook Pixel

Before start with this guide, there is everything you will need:

Create a Facebook Pixel code

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager using your Facebook Business account.
  2. Click on “Connect Data Sources” and choose “Web“.
  3. Select “Meta Pixel” and click “Connect“.
  4. Name your Pixel and assign your website.
  5. Click “Continue” to move forward.

You can then use the Facebook Pixel ID provided in ShortLinks Pro to track the links.

Configure Facebook Pixel settings

You will find the Facebook Pixel settings on your WordPress admin area navigating to the ShortLinks Pro menu -> Settings -> Facebook Pixel.

Projects: Each project will be assigned a Pixel ID, which will be embedded into the URLs generated for that specific project. This identifier enables precise, project-level monitoring. Multiple projects can be created, each with its own Pixel ID, allowing for targeted segmentation, analytics, and customization of link behavior based on the specific requirements of each use case. The fields for project configuration are as follows:

  • Name (optional): This field represents the name assigned to the project linked to the Pixel ID. If left blank, the interface will display only the Pixel ID without a project name label.
  • Pixel ID: The tracking ID used by Facebook to identify your Pixel in Meta system.

Default Pixel ID: You can assign the Pixel ID from any of the existing projects to be applied globally across all links.

This default setting can be overridden at the individual link level by specifying a specific project directly within the link’s edit screen.
